The Origin of Immigrant Culture

The name "Immigrant Culture" reflects the global journey of coffee. Originating in Ethiopia, coffee spread to Yemen via the port of Mokha and began its migration, with each culture adding its unique touch.

As coffee crossed continents and oceans, it absorbed the flavors and customs of diverse societies. The Dutch played a key role in its global distribution. Cultures like Turkey, Italy, and Spain contributed iconic brewing methods and recipes—such as Turkish coffee, cappuccinos, espresso, the Moka Pot, and Café Bonbon.

At Immigrant Culture, we honor the rich coffee traditions shaped by immigrant communities and acknowledge the cultural contributions that have enriched the coffee we enjoy today.
