Yuzu No Hana
Sergio D. Aranda & Finca Anaya
Located in Acevedo, Huila, Colombia, Finca Anaya is a family-run farm where Sergio D. Aranda focuses on clarity, balance, and thoughtful processing. The farm is surrounded by fruit trees and native vegetation that support slow cherry development and expressive flavor profiles. Sergio is known for his careful approach to fermentation, tailoring each process to the variety in order to highlight sweetness, floral aromatics, and clean structure.
At Finca Anaya, each variety is processed separately to preserve its character. This allows Sergio to build complexity while maintaining elegance in the final cup.
Yuzu no Hana by Sergio D. Aranda
Yuzu no Hana means “yuzu flower,” a symbol of brightness and renewal that appears at the transition from winter to spring. The name reflects the coffee’s aromatic profile, which is delicate, citrus-forward, and floral, with a clean and uplifting character that feels fresh and precise.
This coffee is a blend of Bourbon and Gesha varieties grown at high elevation in Acevedo. The Gesha is processed using a washed anaerobic fermentation to enhance floral clarity, while the Bourbon is co-fermented with fruits and yeast to develop sweetness and depth. The two components are blended to create a coffee that is refined, balanced, and expressive.
The cup opens with the aroma of yuzu zest and soft citrus blossom. On the palate, orange blossom honey brings gentle sweetness and roundness, followed by lavender and jasmine petals that add a clean floral character. The finish is bright, smooth, and refreshing.
